I wrote a book on this subject and so my PH D work at Sheffield University 2000-. Academics would not believe the carbon zero power was so simple.
Every 3 minutes around the world there is a lightening strike. A 1.5km x 2cm partial steam plasma set up at eight atmospheres, collapsing at three. The set up by heavy rain or snow and doing nuclear fusion.

We have two choices! We can buy a steam turbine and hire purchase. Was would generate a constant 1.2 MW of mains AC electricity.

I would guess I met the cost will be around 1500 UK pounds. And we are generating an income of 1.5 million. So we would obviously buy the steam turbine very rapidly!
A hire purchase agreement would cut out the need for a bank loan. Otherwise we are looking at a cost of 10,000 UK pounds.
So churches need 40,000 W of electricity on Christmas day. There require a 30,000 W every other Sunday. They can set up a steam plasma in a back office that the rectory, and generate an income of 60,000 UK pounds a week.
This will obviously dwarf or other income streams for the church. And we turn regular water into heat light and lower power X rays.

All houses require just 8 kW! So the get an annual income of over 25,000 UK pounds. For all that lovely carbon zero heat! And the thermoelectric is commercially available. For ever 1600 UK pounds.
So every house owner can go carbon neutral! And get an income of 16,000 UK pounds a year.
But each church, where the Christian Muslim or Budist gets the annual income of 60,000 UK pounds. For lovely carbon zero energy! And it is not a highly start up cost!
The payback period is under one month.
